Sunday Pamper Routine

Does anyone else have a love/hate relationship with Sundays? You love that it’s acceptable to stay in your pj’s all day, binge watch Netflix and eat foods you know you shouldn’t, but it comes to a point in the evening when you get that ‘Sunday night feeling’ and the thought of it being Monday tomorrow kicks in. To help with that dreaded feeling I love nothing more than indulging in a bit of relaxation and giving myself a pamper ready for the week ahead.

To me, a pamper evening is not a pamper evening without a bath. So firstly, I run myself a bath and try to get it the ‘perfect temperature’. Whilst the bath is running I light some candles, these Yankee Candles in Strawberry Buttercream smell incredible. If I’ve worn any makeup that day I simple remove it with a face wipe… I don’t use any fancy makeup remover, but we’ll keep that quiet! When my bath starts filling up nicely I’ll opt for either bubble bath, bath bomb or bubble bar, in this case I used Autumn Leaf bath bomb from LUSH.

I spend around half an hour having a good soak and just relaxing, I sometimes put on some music if I feel like it, if not I just enjoy the peace and quiet. On my pamper evenings I like to use a body scrub to give my skin a good clean, so I used Soap & Glory Sugar Crush Body Scrub then used Soap & Glory Sugar Crush Body Wash – these both smells amazing. I also do the usually shaving, which I love using hair conditioner to shave my legs as it leaves them feeling silky smooth!

Once out the bath and dry, I smother my body in lotion. I’ll either use Snow Fairy which you wash off in the water or Soap & Glory The Righteous Body Butter. Once I’m moisturised head to toe I hop straight in to my cosy PJ’s and apply the L’Oreal Pure Clay Detox mask as after a week of wearing makeup my skin needs a good detox to rid of all the dirt and yuckiness. I find using the Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser after the mask helps with removing any excess makeup from my pores, I then apply the Liz Earle Instant Boost Skin Tonic and moisturiser.

When I’m all pampered out, depending on what I fancy I’ll make myself a cup of tea or hot chocolate, then climb into bed and binge watch something on Netflix or catch up on some blog posts.

What are some of your favourite things about a pamper evening?

  1. This sounds lovely! I have a similar routine, a lush bath using one of their bath bombs or bubble bars and a good scrub using their shower gels. Then I have this really lovely pomegranate smelling lotion that I put on my skin and get into some comfy pjs and hop into bed. For my skin I use lush face masks and cleansers and with my hair tied up I nod off peacefully! I may do this tonight actually haha.

Great post love it! You have yourself a new follow 🙂
